Pen tool annoying

is there anyway to stop the pen tool from creating a curve for you so if i create a curve and then clicks somewere else it continues with that curve?!

The pen tool is a massive help in shop, learn it well and it will serve you gladly.

i ment it kinda has a mind of its own but i realise its clever, its a skill i must learn!

Shop sometimes plays tricks with us, if it is behaving weird you could always reset your settings, but more than likely you not understanding how to use it correctly.
