Path is inverse

about a week ago out of the blue when ever i select a path it automatically selects the inverse. I have changed none of the keyboard shortcuts or any thing else. any help would be nice, thanks.

jamin9306 I am experiencing the same thing. For example, when I create a path and then command click to turn the path into a selection, I get is the inverse of my path. In other words, I get a selection of the background instead of the subject.

Additionally, just now I created a path to sillouette a subject, saved the clipping path and the resulting image is a sillouette of the background - the inverse.

I figure I have hit a series of key commands by mistake. Does anyone know what's up? This is really slowing me down!

yeah if someone can let me know the solution too. It is really buggin me & slowing me down...it inverts paths I copy straight from illustrator. Not happy with all the little bugs...

To fix it:

First, select your path (use the direct selection tool)
Then, all you have to do is go to the tool that created the path (ie your pen tool) and in the options bar at the top, on the very right is the different types of paths you are creating. Make sure the first box is selected (you probably have the 2nd one selected). Its not the selection that was the problem, its that your path itself was an inverse.
