actually, if you rotate this 180 it makes more sense visually. It has a 3d effect in the background image that could use' a' focal point, you have 2. The relief image of the face, which looks cut in, and the trees at the top of the stairs, which should be the sole focal point. I am also distracted by the semi transparent lacy overlay. Sometimes less is more. I think if you remove or somehow intergrate the overlay thing and add some contrast to the 'stairway' and blend in the face, you'll have a tighter image.
 
@ronmatt -- i don't know if that is what i would see -- i suppose someone (me, maybe others) could see this as a "pond reflection" of sorts. \:/ \:/
 
yep, that is a possibility.
