hi all :righton:

i am editting an image of my mate so he's holding a piece of paper.... but the whiteness of the paper looks fake ....anyone know how i can blend this betr and/or make the paper look more realistic?

The best thing I can refer you to is an actual piece of paper. Most standard quality paper (matte) isn't uniformly white - often very slight variations of light grey & white as the paper thins or thickens. What you can do is add a layer of noise, blur it a bit and play around with the blending modes. Secondly, you can look into creating a "curve"/"wave" in the paper by adding a gradient layer of some kind. A third step is to look at adding a faint texture.

Have a look at tutorials like:

You can make a mask for the piece of paper, and use selective color to add black to the white, this will probably bring the
image information you want there .[also you could use the burn tool]
If you want, invert the image [ctrl+i] to see if you have any color information at all at that spot...
cheers

Oh sorry, you?re creating the whole paper at the computer right?
I misunderstood that... :(
Sorry... [confused]
