I've been on the forum kind of hit or miss the last few days. We adopted a new dog 3 days ago and it's been fun, frustrating, irritating, hilarious, gratifying, and just cool. He's 6 months old, 24.5 pounds, eats like a horse not a dog, loves to play, took a while to warm up at the dog park, but by the second half of the hour was running with the pack. And oh man, does he need training. I am working on my patience and tolerance. I will need lots!

A challenge mate, we have two jack russells and a rottie:mrgreen:

Thanks Zee. I have a real oddball pair now!

Finally huh Vee!! IDK about bigger, older maybe. At 6mos he's already 8 lbs bigger than she is. Interesting play times. Took him to dog park yesterday. Kinda hid under a tree for 20 minutes, then it was play, chase, play for the next 30. He was a city dog stray who fairly obviously had had owners. So he's had some totally new adventures: estuary paths, beach, dog park, quiet neighborhood . . . more to come. Mountains once it cools down.

Really nice combo Paul. I love Rotties but couldn't convince Dave to get one, lol. Yeah, this dog has had little training but is already walking pretty well on the leash (as long as I don't bring Luci dog along at this point). Speaking of which, it's his turn for a walk. I'm so tired! OK, well maybe not but he's keeping me busy.

It's so adorable I have a dog that won't stop running away and a dog that is obedient and will. One day I got sick of walking so I found this "double lease" and figured they would walk themselves.Of course that didn't work. But,instead of the bad dog getting put into the pound and learning it's lesson the good dog did.-_-

You put one of your dogs in the pound? Before taking it to training? I'm confused. All dogs are great. It's the owners that don't speak their language that have problems with them.
