Hello,

like the headline says, I'm looking for a way to change the direction to which the windows in photoshop pop up. To make this clearer, I have illustrated what I want to do:

Unbenannt-2.jpg

Is there an option in the preferences (if so i can not find it)? Or any other way to do this? It would just be very pracitcal for me I think.

Thanks!

Sorry, I wasn't understanding what you were asking.

As far as I know the windows will always open towards the center, even if you move the icons panel to the left side.

Hi,

thanks for your reply. Yes, I was already expecting it not to be possible.... Everytime I'm opening the protocol for example I won't need to see my layers and adjustmentlayer-menu etc., but very much would like to see my whole picture. Well, PS does not offer a solution for everything I guess ^^

If you want the history panel on the right hand side just drag the history tab next to another tab eg the layers tab and that will make the history panel dock with layers panel.

well.... thats a very good suggestion! I docked the windows to the right of the screen so that they pop up over the layers. Thats pretty much what I wanted to do ... lol thanks for that answer!
