Im creating a simple animation using photoshop with the timeline. Is there any sort of options to enable a tool like onion skinning in flash?

Hi Knaaz and welcome!

Help me out here, Onion skinning in Flash is just a tool/method to view previous or latter states of animation, correct? If not, explain what you think Onion Skinning is.

In Photoshop you can use the layers panel to view, activate and deactivate previous or latter states of animation.
 
Go to Animation panel flyout menu and there you must find the Onion Skin Settings and Onion Skin enable/disable
