Hi there again, I`m so glad that I found this forum, you are helping me a lot :)
This time I need to a simple black and white bottle of beer. I was looking for tutorials, but all I could find were more like art or so, with shadows, glass looking beer bottles. I don`t need that, I need more like draw without any shadows or any other difficult stuff, I only need to draw a even, good looking black/white beer bottle.
I have tried to do that with a pen tool, but did not manage to make it even, that was peace of you know what.
Maybe you could write your opinions how to do this simple task, or maybe you know some kind of tutorials which may help me.

something like in this picture below, but as I said without shadows :)

Simple but you can't do it? I'm just curious why you think it's simple see this

Cause I know that this stuff can be made in a few minutes, thats why I think its easy. But having in mind that I do not know more than a half of things you can do in photoshop, for me it is hard :)
And the link you gave, Can I somehow look how did they make those bottles?

Yeah, I tried this tutorial before, but it did not help, cause I couldnt make the shape with a pen tool. The shape I made was not even close to even. Can you tell this part in more details? The problem is that I don`t know how to use a pen tool. Can I do something to see the margins or something? I can draw the half of the bottle, but the other side always comes uneven.
I hope you understood what I meant, its hard to tell it even in my mother tongue and its really hard to tell in English :)

You say uneven on one side? Try creating one side, then duplicate it and reverse it match up to other side then merge themto make 1

Hi Vlad, I would think that spending some time learning the PEN TOOL would help you out tremendously. Then maybe some good VECTOR ART tutorials will make drawing the bottle easy. It's essential that you learn the pen tool!

iDad, your "see here" link does not work for me. The page will not load.

If it's symmetry your struggling with, then iDad has hit the nail on the head. Do one half of the bottle then duplicate, flip horizontally then fit into place.

that's strange it's working,here???

Hi, you helped me a lot, now I know how to use pen tool, I did not work on vectors so far, but I`m looking forward to work on this later. But still the bottle I draw is not even enough, it is looking not bad, but at the same time it is not good enough. I tried drawing only one side of the bottle, but when I dublicated the layer and fliped it, both of the layers became on the other side.
Can you please write the process in more details? I am doing something wrong...

While you're in tansform mode use the keyboard arrows to move it over to side it needs to be or mouse and holding shift down to keep it level while moving

Thanks, one more really helpful thing I did not know (the arrow keys). And one more question, which I think could be the break point in my bottle drawing :D How to turn on those lines which can be seen in the background (dont know how to call them), those lines are for level drawing, like math paper or something :)

Move them? Go into preferences There is a list of options for guidelines grids and such it's pretty self-explanatory I am not on computer at the moment, i think you're referring to resizing the grid or hiding the grid I'm not sure, look at preferences

I agree with iDad about duplicating the half. I am not exactly clear what you want to do. Draw an outline?

If you're using a premade bottle for tracing, you can make it white, then stroke it in black. Rasterize the layer: create a layer below, then merge the two. Select and delete the white. Use refine edge to remove the white halo or maybe even just select>modify>contract, add layer mask and you have an outline.

Vlad, you turn on the grid by going to VIEW > SHOW > GRID

Or you can use the keyboard shortcut.....

cmd/cntl + '

You can adjust the grid in PREFERENCES > GUIDES< GRIDS< AND SLICES.

Here I used the guidelines and the pen tool to create half the bottle.

I then duplicated the layer, flipped the duplicated layer using EDIT > TRANSFORM > FLIP HORIZONTAL. I then used the arrow keys to move the duplicated and flipped layer into position.

Ok, another question: I draw a bottle and now I am trying to write a text on it. I wrote the text, but when I press ctrl + t, he gives me to transform my path. I tried to unselect the path, select text layer, but nothing is changing.
