One More Really Quick

Is there anyway to Resize the layer image without distorting the background image. (i.e., Make a selection of myself on one photo and click and drag it to another photo, but the image of me was 1600 in size and i didn't downscale it before i selected it) if not then let me know. i know how to resize the image. just wondered if there was a way to do it to different layer independently?? ( not just using ctrl+t)

You can not resize a single layer. You can always use transform, but it doesn't resize as well as a regular resize because of the different algorithm. You could write an action however that resizes a single layer (using image/resize), I have done something in the past, works well.
