Novice needing help with logo

Hi all!

I'm wondering if someone could help me?

I'm trying to make a PSD logo with something like the Lemons in the attached photo. It's for an idea I'm working.

I just need the lemon part but I can't for the life of me get it work work!



Hopefully someone can help!

Sorry for the late reply! Been mega busy with my day job!

That's spot on! Along those lines yeah! Maybe applying the same technique with a different lemon though. But that's it!

How did you do it?

No apologies required
OK this is how I made the effect, first thing open the image in PS and make a selection of the lemons, hit ctrl j to copy the selection to a new layer, hide the original layer.


Next I opened up the Filter Gallery


Then I selected the Conte Crayon Filter with the following settings, adjust to your own preference!


Next I added a Solid Color Adjustment Layer


Right Click on the Color Adjustment Layer to create a Clipping Mask


Double click on the Color Adjustment Layers thumbnail to bring up the Color Pallette and change the color to what ever you like


Then change the Blend Mode to Soft Light
