Hi All,

Just like to see what you think of this, not really sure if I like it as is or maybe it needs more work. Or maybe it's just a little bit weird.
Thanks in advance and wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year :)

It's a very cool image and I don't think it's too weird....though a bit to dark. Add more gaussian blur to the vignette and lower the opacity. Details should be visible in all the blacks.

Thanks chrisdesign

Yes I see what you mean, will do some more work on it and repost

Cheers for your comments

Not weird at all.

I agree with Chris on the vignette.

The main thing is to lighten this up, way too dark!

The girl coming through the window just doesn't fit in the scene at all without major lighting and shading changes to her body. Would make more sense to follow the same format as the other two "windows". What I always maintain to everyone who works these projects is remember that each object in the picture has to look as though it is unique to that scene or else the illusion is completely lost.

Here are a few little tricks I like to use:

1. Photo Filter overlay to help bring a more unified temperature to the image. I may adjust the effectiveness of the Photo Filter to a minimum and then modify the layer to something other than Normal for additional and unique effect.

2. Add a sparingly applied gradient layer and adjust layer for best setting. I choose complimenting colors that are prominent in the scene.

3. I try to get the entire scene to a fairly uniform lighting factor when possible before implementing addition light sources or effects. This prevents one object towards center from getting too dark when I turn up the black levels, for example.

4. I almost always use a vignette or blur just to bring the viewer's eyes into focal area. For such blurring, I normally use Alienskin Bokeh, but there are times where I can simply apply my own mask and add a gaussian blurred layer.

Hi Crotale

Thanks you so much for the helpful tips, I do agree about the woman coming through the window not fitting in. Will take on board what you said and see what I can come up with.
Cheers

Thanks crotale, just realized there's a few issues with the girl in the center of the room, needs a bit more tweaking, not exactly cut out from the original image very well. Will redo her.

Cheers
