Noobie needs simple assistance

I'm in need of some assistance. I'm completely new to Photoshop and have no idea what I'm doing. I wanted to try and see if the community could help me with what I'm sure is an easy task for the experienced. I just want to superimpose this cap onto the head of the smiley and make it one seemless image. Straightening up the cap on the smiley's head if you could.

Any help is much appreciated.

Or use another graduation cap picture if you can find a better one. The smiley is the only thing I'm set on keeping.

Also if you could make the smiley all the solid yellow instead of the paler shades on the extremities. Sorry to tack on the extra stuff hah

Hi Dawg, PS user or not, you can usually get some help here. I'm on an unusual break from normal life this afternoon, so let me know what you think of this. Tilting the hat or changing it's size is easy.
