Newbie to Photoshop

[Titanic iPT]

Hey everyone, I've heard loads of stories on the magic of Photoshop and I thought, "might as well give it a shot then"...

So I used Titanic as a test subject and tried stuff like cutting her image out of photographs and editing her color to place in a twilight shot, for instance... So far it's been so good, although I have faced problems as well, which is why I'm registering myself here to get advice on the experts here!

Anyway, thanking everyone here for the help in advance!
