Hello All,

Was searching the net looking for some answers about how to make a certain background image in photoshop. i have a client wanting a certain type and not sure how to do this. I am hoping i can find the answer here.

Here's what i need: A image with background pattern and the center a solid feathered area. I have added a image to this post so you can see what the structure looks like but not same pattern or color of course. Just need to know how to make that center a solid area (this will be for the body of website). I hope someone can help. I have Photoshop CS5 but just learning this beast!

Looks like a gradient mask over the image....

Hi friend i am new user to this forum..... I reached here with the help of this Google search engine....

I selected the lightest color in the middle of the image and set the gradient tool to Foreground to transparent.
Then I selected the Radial Gradient and dragged top to bottom and bottom to top.
Repeat until you're satisfied with the result.
