Newbie Question about Textures

I recently got into photoshop (my friends computer that I bought had a copy of photoshop 7 on it) by searching through google and I came up to this site among many others.

I proceeded to try my skill with this tutorial and I've been hooked with photoshop ever since.

My question is, is there a great resource for the "Textures" that was used for that photo? I want to try to use the same techniques that was used for that tutorial but it gets kind of old using the same texture on different pictures. I've tried searching on google but came up with nothing.

Anyone have any ideas on how I can get my hands on some good textures?

I just found this site with a quick search, it looks promising: FREE TEXTURES for digital artists: 2Textured - Home

In general though, I normally just do a search either for the specific texture I'm looking for (ie searching "hi res grass texture") or just searching generically (ie searching "free hi res textures").

check out deviant art. there's a ton of free photoshop and illustrator stuff on there. just browse for resources and you can get texures, stock photos, brushes, etc. etc. yadda yadda
