newb! How do I import a photo, for a flyer?

Hello....emergency...am trying to send a jpeg format flyer to an arts center ...am having a big event...managed to get the type in..have 2 photos I wish to import...can't figure it out...am used to Publisher...insert/import image...bang..done! I reduced the image size already...have the 2 files up ...all help greatly appreciated...Just got the program recently, so have lot to learn...ps great forum site here..! thanks Lynn

if you're still stuck, could you explain better? This is a photoshop question right?

open the image in PS, and open the flyer document, and click and drag the jpeg into the flyer document

hate to do this, but if youre doing any kind of print work with lots of type (a la a newspaper, brochure or flyer), check out the free trial of InDesign from adobe.com. Way more straight forward if youre working with loads of text. On the other hand, if you just have a couple of words and a headline or two, just ignore me. i need coffee and perhaps a reason to use proper capitalization or grammar.
