Hiya all im new to the site and came across this site as im looking for some help please. this may not make any sence at all so please forgive me as i dont no what the correct term for this effect is.so here goes, you start with your photo,and then what im sruggling with is how you use your image and you can place it behind or above and behind to the side and create a line of the same image but its slightly faded..........i hope this makes some sence.
thank you so much for reading and hope to get this sorted as i dont no correct term for this i cant find what im trying to do

Do you have an example you can post?
You can post an image directly from your computer immediately, just no links right now.
Click on the
insertimage.png
button.
 
I believe he is looking for how to feather a selection to fade in or out onto another image
 
Alien eye candy is # 1, its a plugin but worth every penny if your P shopping a lot.
