I have some experience in Illustrator and Photoshop, but I'm brand new to After Effects. I'm trying to create an animation of several objects bobbing up and down on ocean waves. I've hit a snag though.
I've run into trouble creating the bobbing animation. Here's an example.
At about the fourth Keyframe, I lose the ability to bend my Anchor Points. In Illustrator I can fix this
with the Convert Anchor Point Tool, but I'm not sure how to do that here.
And while I'm at it, I might as well ask about the ocean waves. Is there a convenient way to create a wave animation?
Here's kind of what I'm looking for:
Is there a way to distort a flat ocean surface in AE so I don't have to create dozens of frames in Illustrator?
I messed around with a few distort effects, but saw no changes to my project. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
I'd appreciate any tips.
