I want to take this photo

and make it in a winter/ storm scene and possibly add a couple boats into the bay?

Any hints on the best way to start this?

This should get you started. I couldn't get the .psd to upload for some reason.

Comments and critisism are welcome. I still need to get rid of some of the green cast. But its time to go.

You must have a heck of a library of tutorials $1r_M4x1mu$. Thank you once again. That tut is detailed, clear, easy to follow, and the results are fantastic.

Just one comment Stric9: I think making the sky more bleak, wintry grey would help, even though some winter skies are blue. Nice job.

You right iblcare, my thought too, where he gets all those!
My favorite are just too full with $1r_M4x1mu$ tutorials. It will take "year" to go thought them all.
But truth is that "what go to favorite stays in favorite" (c) "Favorite mile" :) ... at least most of them will never been opened but i still keep collecting them.

My mom used to save plastic bags, glass bottles, string, boxes, etc., and said you never know when you might need this!

Your welcome
ibclare,

"LOL" and is not like a i have lots tutorials, i've found myself in many situations, in which you are working in some projects and at certain point, you just can't figure it out some way to achieve a desired effect and then, you start searching for answers or tips. And this is great 'cause in that process, you will find lots of useful information, on other people tuts and vids, that certainty will help you a lot down the road.

$1r_M4x1mu$, yep. But sometimes it's kinda hard to define and find right words to search for.
Like mine yesterday's situation. I believe that there is tons of genious tutorials but only if right words are googled.
But till then "You have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your handsome prince."

P.S. I started to quote (or telling anecdotes) that means i've gone to "offtopic" mode which in its turn means i have to go "offline" :)

Thanks guys.

I have been fiddling with the picture and have had some decent attempt, will post them when I finally get an upload speed thats above dial up
