Hello

New member from Arizona. Just a novice photographer, that spends too much on gear, with no skill. I am looking to learn photoshop, it's so complex.

Welcome aboard, Frank62.

No worries... we can help you along your PS learning curve. Photoshop may look daunting but it's easier than you may think. It's a matter of knowing what the tools can do and how to use them. Don't hesitate to ask questions.

What PS version do you use?

We also have a Photography Forum where you can upload some of your best shots for us to view and appreciate. There you can also post photography-photoshop related questions.

I'm an avid photographer, as well, so, welcome aboard, Frank!

Join right in the existing discussions or start a thread of your own. We'd love to hear from you.

I have PS 12 but will be going with the yearly subscription when my new computer arrives (monday).
I hope the subscription version supports Nikon D750. The version I have doesn't.

FYI, the subscription version, CC 2015, definitely supports the d750. Being essentially kept continuously up to date is one of the benefits of the subscription version.

Thanks Tom
I was considering taking the photoshop class on lynda, any thoughts?

Unfortunately, I'm the wrong guy to ask about this as I've not taken any course from her. OTOH, I have heard many people who have taken her courses say that they think they are very high quality and have profited from them. I haven't heard many complaints, at all.

As I recall, she offers some of her lessons / tutorials for free, so you could try to find some of these, work through them, and see if you like her style before you plunk down your money.

Good luck,

Tom M
