Hello Everyone, Just got introduced to Photoshop CS5.... Having lots of fun but with some growing pains. I found this forum site with the hope of initially getting help from some of you 'experts' and later, maybe being of some assistance to others who enter this area. My question: My brush tool doesn't seem to work. I wanted to use it, on a layer that is set OPACITY 70%, to highlight a couple of parts of the image but I get an error message saying "the pixel data for this layer is not directly editable." I'm sure that I'm doing something wrong. Can anyone shed some light on my problem? Thank you.

Welcome to PhotoShop Gurus

Doesn't seem like there's a problem whit the brush but your layers, make sure your layer is not locked, pixels, position or transparency, also that it not an smart object, also experiment creating a new layer and see if the problem still there.
