Hi!
I just downloaded Photoshop CS6 for a trial and like what i see!
I hope i will stay with Photoshop.
Mostly i'm programming MSTS Trainsimulator for Routes and add-on's.
Is Photoshop good for making new Textures and old textures a complete
work-over?
In the future all you experts in Photoshop,you will get a lot of questions
from me.

Welcome fssarno. You can do all that and more in Photoshop. Just be sure to get good guidance and learn all the basics before trying to do the advanced stuff, even following a tutorial. It isn't as easy as you might think. Practice, patience, play. The 3 Ps of PS.

George0 wonders if you should start off with CS4 (like he/she has), but it doesn't matter if you start with PS5 or the very first version. It's a learning curve. There are books, there are basic tuts online, there's Kelby, and there's lynda.com. Lynda is my favorite, inexpensive and just crammed with info on every software you might want to use, great videos -- classes actually -- with hours of excellent easy to follow videos, organized in a user friendly way. What can I say? I'm a fan.
