Hi, my online friends (and some on the ground) call me IB. Imperial Beach, CA btw. I'm an amateur artist-photographer who's been playing around with Photoshop for 10 years or so. I rarely do anything serious (as in commercial) with it, but if I had to choose one program to keep on my computer, this would be it.

I'm joining today because I have a mystery problem, but like other forums I join, I find myself going back to check things out. I'll say in advance, thank you for your help.

Glad to be here, IBclare

P.S.
Hi again. I just came back to edit my entry and say, I did a search and immediately found the answer to my problem: the crop tool turned my images into one pixel and I couldn't figure it out. Well, uh, gee . . . the crop tool toolbar was set to one pixel and all I had to do was clear it. Just never thought! But learning this will serve me well if I have similar issues in the future. From frustrated to jazzed! Gracias.

Welcome aboard, I'm fairly new here myself, but everyone here is pretty helpful and its a great little community.

Hi IB I have found and settled in this forum too though I am not as regular as I would like to be the folks here are very informative and helpful. You really can pick up a lot of useful information here if you are into any kid of graphic arts.

welcome IB (Imperial Beach), hmmmm where in CA. is this beach. Being from California you would think I would know.

Hi guys.

Carrie, I must've missed the bit about using the thanks button when I read the rules and such. I think I'm gonna just give everyone on this post a poke on that. I have really enjoyed the images, ideas, info, tutorials, and the entertaining banter (Hoogleman and Belial are a hoot). And, I already found some useful information of yours on brushes, so danke.

Terry, Imperial Beach is a dust spot in the corner of your left eye as you face the Pacific Ocean. We hover on the border of Mexico and somewhere between funky and urbane. We aren't much of a destination town, but you only come here as a destination since you can't pass through IB. Of course, that is one of the reasons I love it. Keeps the traffic and the tourists down. We're known for our Sandcastle Competition and that creates a huge commotion once a year (I often try to be out of town LOL -- having seen it enough times to be merely annoyed by the crowds . . . ah the ennui of the jaded mind . . .).

Glad to be here, IB clare
