Hello! An acquaintance saw some pictures I took and asked me to take her family's holiday photo. I took some a week ago Saturday, and promised she'd have her pictures by Wednesday. Unfortunately, my friend lost her phone and--long story shortened--I only had a few minutes at sunset to take the picture. I love the composition, but I don't know if I can make it work, due to poor quality, blown out highlights in hair and on sides of bodies. I was encouraged reading some forum posts that, just maybe, I can make something work. What's the best size file and format to post a picture to ask for help?

Note - just got PS Cs5 for birthday a few weeks ago. Working on a mac powerbook, just upgraded to 4 Gb ram. Thanks SO much. I'm feeling overwhelmed.

sounds like this is of very poor resolution what size is the original?

Thanks for responding. The raw file is 2226 x 2284 pixels, that I can convert to either dng or tiff as well as cropping to the areas I most need help with.

There are some other pictures that don't have as many problems, but I'd love to be able to do something with this one particular shot.

not seeing the photo leave us with a guessing game and lack of ideas for us to suggest

Okay, thanks, working on it.

By the way, why is my text always white (invisible) when I write a post? I have to click black on the font icon.

I can't seem to post the zip file link(s). Do I need to make 6 more posts to be able to post the link, per requirements of this site? I will see what I can do if that's the case.

new posts. ...My zip file help is now gone for a few hours. I can't believe I'm laughing right now, because it's just ANOTHER hurdle to cross and I'm really trying! :) I have zip files now. I just need to wait til my source comes back or find a zip uploading tutorial on the net.

I am incredibly grateful for the assistance Steve has given me. This board is blessed to have him. Thank you, Steve.
