This is practicing new tools .

problem.jpg

critique will be welcomed, it took a while and it was intrinsically frustrating the lasso was annoying me. but i need to train myself if i want develop my skills in the future.

Any tips or advice in how to improve this image or making the lassoo tool any easier to use will be appreciated.

Please make sure you respond with constructive criticism and not just negativity there is a difference.

i don't mind a few downsides, just not constantly with no positives, i know there are at least a couple of tiny positives there at least :P

Not so, about the barely any replies. I bet you get a few on this piece. Wow, it makes me dizzy. The wall is just dashing downward at an angle and the car looks ready to go over a cliff. (I just hope that's not self-descriptive, ) I think it's great. The lasso is worth every minute you spent on it. Lovely. Others may have some good critique, but for now, I don't.

Good Start edited that text issue you were having.

Ok not sure I like the shadows on a car that appears to be floating I would put it n some kind of surface that is different from the background But I really like the light trails

OK, now that the post has been edited, I have to edit my reply.

I think it depends on the intent of the image. Personally, I like the vertigo! That wall is just dizzying.

cool cool, all set. do you mean with the way the BG is a contrasting direction to the car?

okay seriously, what I would do is make those windows partially transparent to see the back ground

View attachment 15408here is a real quick selection to show what I mean, move the 1st 3 layers at same time you'll get the idea, see opacity leveis (real quick) no detail taken to this so don't expect much

i think you are referring to the windows, yes?

Hmm, thought it was intentional. Shows you what I know. That's the pitfall of critiquing art. But, as I know from my own work, many things happen on the subconscious level.

Yes, that is one thing. Also if you stand back and look at the stripes, the angle they are at suggests speed and as you noted, particularly in contrast to the horizontal vehicle. Like a waterfall.

I like iDad's suggestion about the windows, that would be really cool.

oh That, it was there but yeah it is kind of out of place

Theres a big blurry black splodge on it, was that meant?

under the car? yeah that was intentional, the car looked weird floating with no shadow :P

i'll try the transparency for sure. be an interesting touch me thinks thanks :)

@clare part of it was, part of it wasn't intentional if you get my gistymahoo one of those things, really... wow that does make me you dizzy
