Need to know what to call something

Hi there guys, I am trying to look up a tutorial for something in Google, but don't know its proper name so I can't find what I am searching for. I would like to make a colourful splash - something like in the Nokia ad. Looks almost fluid almost fabric and multicoloured. Know what I mean? What do I call that? Do you know of any tutorials?
