Need to blend images at edges

Hi, I want to create a logo with four different images and I want to blend the edges of each photo with the next photo on the right. So for example, I want to blend the right-hand edge of photo 1 with the left hand edge of photo 2, and so on. Can anyone tell me how to do that? I tried to upload a photo to show what I mean but it wouldn't upload. Sorry about that! Also, I am unable to use my return key on this post. Any idea why that is? Thanks, Marg

We are experiencing some html issues. If you go to advanced mode and upload there -- scroll down to manage attachments -- it should work for you.

As to your question, the fist solution that comes into mind is add layer masks and use a soft round brush in black to blend them. You can also use a blck white gradient on the mask to perhaps more precisely blend the edges. You'll have to right click on the gradient image to set the stops properly. Black conceals, white reveals.

Let me know if I have answered your question, or explain it in different terms? If posting your example(s) helps, try the method I described above (until this kink is ironed out). Thanks.

Thanks, Ibclare, I tried what you suggested and still am not happy with the results. I just tried what you suggested to upload the photo but it still won't work! Marg

OK, Hoogle suggested that we add html to the img. So put the image tags in: http://www.photoshopgurus.com/forum/photoshop-newbies/ ... [\img]

So type the [img], upload your picture, then follow it with [\img]
