Need some help with a GIF

Ok, Im tryin to make an animated gif from a still image.

Basically, I want to have this hair animated but only the hair.




I think I figured out how to make a good enough animation using the ripple effect but I'm having trouble getting it to only do the hair.

That will be a tedious task selecting just hair

Well I was able to manage that pretty well using color selection and then just erasing the birds and letters. I managed to get the hair animated. I just can get it animated on the back ground. If that makes any sense at all......

I did this really quick with magic wand and two layers of liquefied hair, not brilliant but with work and more original layer removal it can be done very easily.


Post what you achieved so far mate.

It's the removal that will be tedious, I guess clone tool would do it but ..time consuming to get it right
