Specific Need seashell on top of cake

I'll get this party started by putting this shell on top of the cake but have absolutely no idea how large it should be... so I made it big.

I had most of this done so I'll post this.
Cake made vertical, background simplified, tighter crop to cake & centered, deep shadow in cake top at 5:00 lightened, shell foreshortened and, of course, the shell at a more reasonable size
