I was wondering if it is possible to turn this picture into a wallpaper (1920x1200) and i wanted to know if i could keep the same background? And if i cannot retain the background colour i was wondering how i would go about changing it. Thanks! 9a545a235042022.jpg

I think the Image is a wee bit too small to be an upscaled HD wallpaper. you could probably implement it as a part of a larger image though.

my apologies, i stand corrected, the image wasn't loading :P
it should be easy to put that into a 1920x1200 wallpaper, if someone hasn't had a go I'll have a go at it tomorrow so I can explain.

but selecting it and pasting it into the 1920x1200 canvas should be sufficient maybe a wee bit of scaling here and there.

Hi Miguel -

Nice photo. While it is in portrait orientation and computer monitors usually are in landscape orientation, there is no fundamental problem getting it to the correct dimensions. The only problem is that to get a landscape oriented image out of this, one has to crop the original very heavily. Unfortunately, scaling it differently on the two axes is not really an option -- only cropping. The attached photo show what it might look like. Note: the thumbnail version is full of artifacts and looks harsh -- instead, double click on it, save it, and view it with real image viewing software.

That being said, I don't think you are going to like it as a desktop or other background because it has such high contrast and detail the icons on your desktop are likely going to become very difficult to see if they are put over this photo.

Instead, I would recommend a much lower contrast version, possibly in B&W, and possibly done with a soft, simplified, painting-like feel. It's too late in the day for me to illustrate this now, but I'll try to have a shot at it tomorrow.

Best regards,

Tom M

Hey, Miguel.

As others have stated, due to the picture being in portrait mode, it is difficult to fill a widescreen monitor without losing some details; so I thought I'd offer a few different possibilities.
