Hello, I'm kinda new to Photoshop, I have the CS5 version. Anyways, how do you make the font effect used in this poster? Like the glows and stuff. And also the grainy material. Thank you so much! :)

You might want to try Layer Style first, just for start try and type anything out and then right click on the layer > Blending Options. There is loads of options in there but you want to look at Outer Glow and maybe Bevel and Emboss or Inner Glow. Have a play around with it get the effect you want.

This is a unique font with the cutouts, and it might be hard to find. I suspect the original font contained the cutouts and, like rafe666 suggested, a layer style was added. But it's hard to tell, the cutouts may have been added to the font. You might have to look for the actual font itself. I like to use What the font for searches.

I also like to go to Google images and search Photoshop text/font effects tutorials and just see if I can find a tut that's similar to what I'm looking for.

I will try and locate the font or a tutorial.

Looks like one of the neon clan or maybe a chrome effect typed font.
