Hi All,

I'm new at this and trying to remove arm hair from this image using the smudge tool (30%, normal), it worked except the arm looks too blured now. How do I bring back some texture ?

Here is the image:

happy to try other approaches to remove hair, ive looked online but found the guides really where overkill, this is more for a quick fun promo so i was looking for something with 2-3 more steps which we'd run on repeat for a few images.

Don't use the smudge one.

1. Take the original.
2. make a duplicate layer of it.
3. select the clone stamp tool.
4 select a hard brush, and set it to darken(this way it will only affect the pixels darker than your selected color aka hair)
5. make sure your brush is only 2 or 3 pixels wide and alt select an area of skin.
6 make small strokes over the dark hairs and they will disappear.

Make sure you re-sample the skin often from around the area your working on.
Once the hair is gone, select the spot healing tool(small) and go back over the the arm in small strokes to blend everything back in.
You should end up with a pretty realistic looking hairless arm.
