Hello,

I'm not that expert with photoshop and am not a professional photographer or something like that.
I'm trying to make a nice photo for a couple of friends, and I have the following disturbing problem in the image:
The lamp in the background is very strong and it bugs the eye -
How do I reduce the brightness of the lamp?

here's a link to a picasa version of the image:

Picasa Web Albums - Assaf

just to note: I have already sharpened the image
and also reduced some lens blur in the black skirt area
(I know that I haven't made it perfect, again I'm quite a novice)

Can someone PLZ give me some advice?

I'm trying to do something nice for that couple...

thanx in advance

try selecting an area around light (good size) feather out and use photofilter warm light, very tricky and time consumming, to get it right

I gave it shot of photo filter cooling 80 selected big circle and feathered out 15 px looks pretty good but file to big for here

thanx, need to know another step

Hey, first of all thanx.

so, ok I got that figured out, applied the same thing myself, didn't know this feature probably since it's under adjusments and not filters...

but a part of the problem remains. You see, the fellow is a little dark (he really has dark skin)
and the lamp has an intense white in it's middle. so this contrast is a little jungly -
is it now possible to make it more harmonious by somehow dimming the white light a little?

the new version of the image (after the cooling) is here:

Picasa Web Albums - Assaf

you could select his face (a very tedious selection) and then try
image>brightness/contrast
or even exposure?????????

image adjustments has a bunch of toys that will do what your looking for Good luck!
