Need help with making gold face emblem

I was trying to replace the original symbol of a cognac bottle with a face of someone, and had trouble making it look like the original symbol (golden, and a bit 3D). I hope someone can explain to me how to do it myself (an example would be great). The symbol is the golden hand holding an axe above the black "Hennessy" logo.
