Need help with Bevel Effect not saving after imaged is flattened or saved.

I am using a layer style to add a bevel to a logo that I need to re-create. The problem that I am running into is that whenever I try to merge the layer, flatten the image or save the image the bevel effect I created changes to look incorrect. does anyone know why this is happening or how to get around it. Please see the images below to see what is happening, the left is correct, the right is how it looks after I try to merge, flatten, or save it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just a suggestion try deleting the background of white and see if that helps from what I see, you're merging the background to the foreground

You may want to post psd so we can see is there a transparency to the top layer when you're merging

One thing you could try is rasterize layer effects. Right click on the layer to see that choice. Copy your original layer so you can make changes if you want.

OK, that's weird.

Maybe you need to reset preferences. If you haven't given that a shot, see if it works. Otherwise, be patient and someone will likely come along with an answer. I hope. I've had this problem, but rasterizing always worked . . .

I reset my prefs. no luck. It seems like when I try to do anything to that layer with the layer style it does not work. unless its a bug with PS CC.

I sometimes encounter this. A workaround I came up with was to create a new layer below the image/bevel layers, group them into a set and merge the set.

Hope this works for you , too.
