I need help trying to recreate something that I saw that I thought looked cool.

I have looked on google but I havent found anything because I dont know what exactly to search for. Basically what it was a two lines that were thin to begin with and then they got thicker and they also had fade to it. I will include a picture although its not very good.

Thanks for the help

Nice Chad. I was just making this while you posted. Anyway, here are two ways to create this. The bottom one with the gold BG is done by making rectangles then warping and otherwise transforming them. This works more or less, but the edge quality is not the best. Transformation pixelates.

The top one is done with a pen tool. This will give you a nice clean, sharp edge and lots of control over how it curves.

I imagine that's what you used sprucemagoo or did you copy a letterhead, lol!? Since I know you're capable of either ... :bustagut:

I Made a rectangle of grey, or as I like to call it 'light black', then used the pen tool to create the curvy lines. I deleted the grey that showed under the curvy lines (which were each on there own layer) Then added a texture overlay to the grey, reduced the opacity and saved as .PNG .

It depends on how I feel to which method I use. I like to mix things up as much as possible in an attempt to become good at as many different skills in Photoshop as I can. Though other people who savy with letterheads know that lots of similar designs to this are able to be found free of charge, not only from the [cough] good people at Microsoft as word templates and such, but all over the World Wide Web using search engines like Google. Most of the really good letterheads do cost money, but are usually very well priced.

Please ignore the fact I made letterhead into two words.
