I'm an intermediate user and I've made a logo in PS CS2 and the printer told me that it was 6 colors and that I should reduce colors because of the expense of printing (on t-shirts).

Can you tell me how to reduce the number of colors in my image?
Your sage advice is greatly appreciated.

It's been a while since I've heard of anyone having to reduce their image to only 6 colors for printing... that's pretty "old school" :). Here's the only way I know to address that problem:

goto menu bar select> Image > Mode > Index Color
from there you can choose number of colors (6 in this case) and I've usually selected 'None' for the Forced option.

Other options below you'll have to play with (or not) to get desired colors/effects.

Hope that helps.
