I am looking at making some business cards with a little flare to them. I have seen several places selling them but no luck on info how to create them. Its probably my lack of knowledge but if anyone could steer me in the right direction it would be appreciated. i am attaching some examples.

Business cards go in wallets or index sleeves usually standard size in states I don't think they'd go over we here Funky shapes like that

you heard it from the old horse's mouth.... lol

We do that here.... these may cost a bomb coz the printer has to perpare the die cut for the card shape.

These have to follow the standard size of a business card for easier storing in wallets and such. No point to create them outlandishly big ( I could imagine.... "here's my card" - the size of an ipad)

Create the shape within the boundaries of a standard business card size.

These are probably specialty shapes a printer has die cuts for. As dv8 said, it'll cost you a small bundle to have a custom shape created. But if you can find the printer that makes these, Luxe is it? Then you can get one of the shapes they have already created. If you want your own custom made, then like dv8 suggested, fit it within the confines of a standard card or prepare to open your wallet.

Some places make simple and slightly different cards. For instance, you can get oval edge cuts. You'll find square or folded cards, some even with shapes cut out to reveal some of the info beneath or a logo. But best to find a place that already has these selections. Unless you have the budget.

Also, as iDad said, think of who will be getting the cards. If they are too funky and don't fit with other cards, they will get lost. Which is why almost all business cards are regulation size and shape. But . . . not all. Good luck with your decision.

ok, my advise is vista print

find someone who is subscribed to the national geographic magazine,
there are huge discount coupons for vistaprint in those
(or i can find one of my coupons for you)

vistaprint offers you printing and casing for bussiness cards

with 1000 of premade, and fully customizable designs

its just easier, faster and probably cheeper to just do it via vista print than letting someone design them from scratch.
