With the files you received with your package, you should have files that are ASL s . These files need to be copied into Program Files/Adobe CS6/Presets/Styles. These are layer styles and act of the contents of a layer, text and the like. They are invoked by clicking on the Fx tab. The go to Blending Options and at the very top left click on Styles. If you have put these in the right folder then you should be able to apply them. Just choose the one you want and click it to apply to the layer content,
