Need help blending splatters into a uniform

Hey guys im using this PNG pack of Liquid splatter , I can change the color using hue and saturation and im trying to blend these into a football jersey like its coming off of it. Any advice on how to properly blend these in and match the uniform color? Thanks

This is one of my attempts at it.

I would use the mixerbrush a lot, together with smudge tool
also use hue and saturation for the color but also levels to match the light
and go with brush and paint some white on new layer on top of the yellow stripes and play with opacity
dodge and burn-tool is very usefull too
make the paint-brush the same width as the yellow stripes and clone tool to clean the edges
