Need help and/or tips (for boy scouts and VFW)

I'm not entirely sure how this works, but here's the deal. I am a Boy Scout and currently working on my Eagle Scout Service Project, part of which is donating a collection box for unservicable American flags that are going to be retired, to my local VFW post. This box will be permanently anchored in front of the VFW post home. I'm trying to get some military themed artwork to go on this box and I even downloaded a trial version of Adobe Photoshop (in the creative cloud thing they have now). I'm hoping that someone can either help me by shopping this stuff for me, or by explaining how to do this so I can do it myself.

The biggest thing right now is taking the images I have attached (if I can figure out how to attach images), and piecing them together to form one solid image depicting a battleship at sea but close to shore with a landing craft just at the shore and a tank on the shore, all tied together with a group of planes overhead in the "missing man" formation. Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having trouble finding decent background pictures to lay these out on, but this is what I have so far, again any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. Please ignore the attached images ( the beach and the reversed image of the battleship) I can't figure out how to remove them.

How real do you want this picture to appear? You could probably do a quick hatchet job but it wouldn't look so nice with those pics. Otherwise you need to find better and clearer stock images and think harder about the back ground.. probably tank on land in fore ground and ship in background and then get images in the correct perspective and preferably in the sameish light. You can add smoke and waves later.

Just a minor reality check: As I recall, most battlewagons draw about 35-40 feet of water. That guy is going to have to wait for an awfully high tide to be able to get off the sand.

That image is almost exactly what I had pictured in my head, would you mind if I used it for my project? There will be a plaque recognizing anyone who contributes and I'd be glad to put your name on it if you'd like.
