Need backstory on missing stuffed animal :-)

My 5-year-old lost a beloved stuffed animal a while back. I bought a replacement for Xmas but would like to make a backstory on how he came to be missing so long and how he got back to us. A few pictures would help! It's an arctic fox, so maybe he went looking for his family in the arctic, got lost, and hitched a ride with Santa? Or, feel free to be creative! We will be grateful for your help

The one with the Arctic foxes looks pretty damn good but I'm not sure how believable the second one is because for some reason I just cannot find a good picture of Santa online, lol.

My understanding is that there were so many good boys and girls this year that Santa needed extra helpers to make all the presents. The best toys volunteered.

Santa returned them for Christmas morning, all cleaned up like new..
