Need assistance with color correction/change in a photo

Hi all. A friend of my wife edited/enhanced the color of this photograph but I'm not sure of what technique she used. I would like to get a similar effect on other photos that were taken from the shoot. I have tried using a warm photo filter and various layers of changing Hue/Saturation, level, curves, and Contrast Brightness but I cannot get a similar effect. Does anyone know what technique she may of used or a "how to" tutorial on how to get a similar effect?

I had no idea you could use camera raw as a filter, I've only used it when processing images when they were still RAW. This will help me tons. Thank you so much JJLAPIN for that helpful info! I can't wait to go home tonight and try it.
