One thing I love to do is watch people who are masters at their craft (which explains part of why I love this forum so much). I had a chance to go to a concert recently to watch this gentleman and although I'm not a huge fan, he blew me away. He's been with us quite a while and his performance has given me a new appreciation for his work.

Who do you think it is? I bet it won't take long for you to figure out.

ps. Photo taken with a Sony DSC-8 with some post work in PS.

David Bowie.

David Bowie

Technically....

David "God-of-all-music" Bowie (TM) (C) (R) 3[

Right island ... wrong artist

Look, I already said that David Bowie is the god of all music... I think maybe you were just hypnotized and THOUGHT you were at a different concert... why would anyone NOT go to a David Bowie concert? You must be hallucinating.

:bustagut: :bustagut: ;)

I know the camera puts 10 pounds on, but that is WAAAY to fat to be Bowie. I thought Kenny Rogers in tight pants, but that was too weird, even for Kenny.

The "he's been with us quite awhile" hint is a gimmee. No old dude's gonna burst on the music scene anymore.

Well, let's see. Sinatra's dead, he's from the other side of the pond,
recently touring (probably a comeback, old rockers never die, they just go on tour once in awhile...), old enough to be totally gray, yet "hip" enough to wear the tight pants...

Oh God, wait. I know. The perpetual rocker fossil, Rod "the ancient Bod" Stewart....Oh, the humanity...Give it UP, already, Rod! Please!!!

Excellent panorama shot though, Rich. Did you use a tripod, or photograph it freehand?

MsOz is right! :righton:

Rod come to town a couple of weeks ago and a vendor approached me with some free tickets. He really did a great job. His range isn't what is used to be but he knows how to work a crowd.

I took the photo's freehand with plenty that had to be thrown out. I had a security guard give me a warning because my first shot had the flash on (busted!).
