Welcome to the community mrtps, we hope you enjoy your stay. :righton:

Nice site you have. I like the layout and the look of it. Well done. [excited]

You're not consistent on your site with support for 800x600 users, some pages do have it, others don't. I don't mind because I use higher resolutions, but lots of people do use 800x600, believe it or not.

Actually you're trying to support 800x600 and 1024x768, but in reality you use at least 3 major tables on every table and the most import information is in the center table, about 800x600.
So in way you really don't spoil 1024x768 users, because their extra pixels are used to have things like "welcome", "online", "poll", "Counter", "link buttons", etc on about every page! A total waste of important space imho.

Two sections on every page tell users who's online. Only one is enough.

I have a hard time to find the E-mail address of the owner of the site.

Forum is too small, try to use the full screen width like Photoshopgurus does. Now you've made the forum text really small, too small in my opinion.

Two many text colors have been used, it's confusing; I count at least 6. Also, try to be more consistent with your text styles and sizes.

I don't like the thumbnails in the gallery, make them all 100x100, crop part of the original if you have too.

Your top image (header) is way too big, 200 kb is unacceptable for 56K modem users (more than half of the US).

Some link buttons have blue borders, fix that.

I would like to see something more than just buttons, avatars or banners in the gallery.

I consider the forum not very interesting for lots of users. Most of it is dedicated to signatures, banners and avatars (9 sections!), this is not the kind of stuff that most serious artists are interested in. Try to focus on a wider group of people and not only some kids who've just reached puberty.

The links page is empty, you should have added at least a few, should only take 5 min.

All in all I really don't get the impression that I'm visiting a Photoshop site... actually, as a new visitor I'm rather confused to figure out what this site is all about. \:]

It's a good site, but it just needs some improvements in different areas, that's all. :righton:

It is a nice looking site, however, it is a free downloadable theme site that you have modified slightly. It would be nice to see some of your original design work.

I just started this site up a month our so. Its not exactly where i want it to be. But me and my friend our working on it All of our work we usually post in the forums. We want to do more graphics work But im still working all the bugs out.. I also wanted to say this site has been a great help to me. I hope I can do some things to give back to all of you guys..

this one was made for 1024 x 768. i sized it down..

Thanks for the comments guys, Mr.Tps and I have just started the site out and are unsure of which direction to go in. We have mainly used photoshop for displacement maps, signatures, avatars and texture maps in the past, but would like to move on to something else. Photoshop Guru has given me a wealth of information and I thought the people here would have a better idea of what could possibly be the next logical progression for us.

Thanks,
This is the best Graphics site on the web. awesome.

John1 is right on some areas (size consistency, duplicate items), but I find him harsh (to say the least) for some topics, like the forum.

You decided to create a specialized forum to request free sigs and avatars... it is a very good idea, as certain forums don't always like that sort of request (and especially the tone in which they are formulated), as they are Forums for Photoshop users: they prefer to teach how to do something, instead of simply doing it.

There are so many forums now dealing about general Photoshop questions, it is good to have specialized ones, especially for non users of the program! If I see such requests in those forums, I'll make sure to send them at your place! :}

Hah, something else, is it graffiti-co or grafitti-co? the address and the title bar do not match...

Masks are slowly disintegrating. Heh heh...
In the end gravity always wins, and the real face shows.
I saw through it from the very first posting...

As for this site: Pieree has, as usual, very good arguments. Specialized boards can be very useful as the traditional ones are already well established, and, as they say over here: the more eaters, the thinner the soup.
Just stay clear of illegal stuff if you don't want to run into problems.

Try to get the essence out of John's remarks, see how you could do something with it to enhance your site (some remarks are very useful imo) and keep us informed on the evolution!

I listen to all opinions whether it be what I want to hear or not. The only way to know what people truly think is to hear what they have to say. I don't really take anything too seriously.. sitting on the computer is my 'free' time and 'negativity' is void for me.

I hear alot of very detailed and constructive suggestions here, and most of them are right on. I am new to maintaining a website and am learning as I go, all of your input is very helpful and gives me a direction. John you will probably never win a forum diplomacy medal though

Thanks
