Hi everyone. Not sure how to really break the ice here, so I thought I might share some of my favorite digitally created works. I spent much time working these to get the right look I was going for, so I tend to be slow and methodical. I can work with expedience, but on my private works, I tend to take it slow. I would guesstimate that I have invested well over 400 hours combined in these six works. I am an amateur and I am still learning.

Enjoy!

Very nice, how do you achieve that depth of brightness and clarity?

Thanks, Paul. I use a variety of measures to tweak my exposure, luminance, contrast and gamma. Depending on the image type (RGB, LAB, etc.) and what I intend my final results to be, I might opt to tweak the overall project or only specific channels. Additionally, I use a lot of lighting mask and fill layers to add atmosphere or ambiance. Some of my more complicated stuff involves more than 500 layers in a single project.

I like them, except I'm not crazy about the second image, the model. Sort of lacking. But I guess it depends on what you made it for. Not for me, lol.

For a self-described amateur (me too), you do really really nice work. You might even want to make a tutorial on creating the look of those insignias. I bet a lot of people would appreciate it.

Thanks. Everyone has their preferences, and I appreciate the feedback. Are you referring to the Terminator painting? I have often regretted not giving it actual color. It was more of an exercise of getting used to the tablet and pen.

If I can find the time, I may do up some tutorials.
