Hello I am new in photoshop and I want to delete an object (cigarette) from the image attached.
I'd be happy for guidance and advice about whether it is possible at all.

This requires, IMO, some clever clone stamping - on a layer above always -almost always. The photo itself is in extreme need of color balance and light/shadow/levels/curves balance, not even to mention the extreme graininess. All likely due to poor light.

I suggest you start over with a decent photo. There is no point in trying to learn Photoshop from the beginning using just plain bad images. You can graduate to that later when you want to try out your skills on restoration. Still, I would never use this photo to that end; it's hopeless and not worth wasting time on.

IMHO . . . or not so humble!
