Hi all,

I am using CS4 64 bit (which may be the problem). I just installed Corel knockout 2 and the extra goodies from the install cd to get the exclude filter. Neither of them are visible after the install. Has anyone successfully installed these using CS4 and if so, where would I find them??

Thanks a lot for your help,

Dov

I have installed Knockout 2 in Photoshop CS5 (windows 7) but it's not showing in Photoshop? Any suggestions? I made sure that the software is indeed installed in the proper folder adobe/photoshop/plugins. Thank you.

64 bit which may be the problem or 32 bit ??

check to see which version you are using. I have BOTH and all plug ins I have used work in 32 bit, MOST work in 64

after a quick google, I might ask Did you check with Corel ?? as I found this...http://www.talkgraphics.com/showthread.php?48970-Adobe-Photoshop-CS5-Corel-Knockout-2-alternative

Hi Mike,

This is very frustrating. Doing some research, I just found out that Photoshop CS5 has something compatible already built in. It's under the Select menu and it's called "refined edge". I'm learning how to use it watching YouTube video tutorial from Lynda.com. I also went on Amazon and saw that they sell KnockOut 2. I read some of the reviews and I found out that this software is so old that it's not compatible with CS2 and up. I actually used this software in 2003 with Photoshop 6 and 7 and loved it. I kept it and now wanting to use it in 2013 in my CS5... but with no luck... Thank you for replying. I hope my little research will help others. :-)

Refine Edge is a great tool, once you play a bit with it. I also use Topaz "Remask" if RE doesn't get what I'm looking for...which is rare. One of the tricks using RE is the Refine Mask part...used on an existing mask...
