I have Gary Bouton's 9 in 1 Photoshop Elements for Dummies, and cannot find any mention of missing files or reconnecting missing files. I have Photoshop 5 & 6, as well as Picasa 3, Windows Photo Gallery, Windows Live Photo Gallery, Photoshop Album 3.2, Paint Shop Pro 6, and Studio 10.8 on my computer. As I use all of these I run across missing files. What are they? What causes them? Why does it seem like I only have about 10% chance of reconnecting them? If I save all my photos to data DVDs, can I put them into the photo program of my choosing? My expertise in these matters is about 3 on a scale of 10, so I would appreciate help. Thanks.
