Merge/align two layers?

So i've made a pretty basic image that i want to be able to repeat without any distortion. At first i was playing around with the auto-align feature in CS5 but it wouldn't work, then i found i could use the offset filter and then just clean up the center of the image to remove the distortion. Not sure if it makes sense...

Here's the image, what would be the best way to solve this?

Thanks in advance!

I don't understand neither.
You to merge together 2 halfs?
For me it looked easy just not right sides tried to merge.
I changed half one with other and they join together naturaly without any aditional adjustment.

Here result:

If that was what you needed.

P.S. Or you cutted full image in halfs and changed them for some reason?

Yes, it just come to me. You want be able to make a horizontal pattern. Like be able make 2 meter of this image.
Then i must say - you can't at least not without some work. Becouse lines count at image "ends" don't match. 3 vs 4 lines.

So here image with remaded "ends". Now you can make 50 meter image.

P.S. why you need that?

Thank you, SeniorS! That was indeed what i was trying to do. Sorry for being unclear, i was very tired at the time of writing.

I will be using it as a website background, and it looks a lot better if it repeats without distortion after each image.

May i ask how you did it?

Thanks,

Hmm...i'll try...ny english not so bright so it maybe be unclear a little.

1. i take picture and selected at middle (where is problem with joining) an area with 4 lines. not whole picture but selection vertical borders was a little in blue background (above lines) and under lines in white. Horizintal...i don't know, 1/3 of that images half maybe.
2. Transform it using warp left side until 4 lines transforms to 3.
3. Smooth things with stamp tool.
4. Dublicate layer.
5. Canvas size image twice.
6. Align layer so they join.
7. Do transform again at one of the layer plus stamp so they blend together naturaly.
8. Now copy layer which was transformed to new file.

And this image now is joinable. It have same "start" and "end" of lines.

Something like that.
